Most of us have been spending more time at home recently and our furry friends couldn't be happier! 🐕 They simply want to be with us. They don't care where we are or what we're doing - they just want to spend time with us so why not bring them along on a beach vacation?
Dogs love the beach! Even the pups who refuse to go near the water still enjoy a morning walk on the beach. We see them every morning - our very own North Topsail Beach happy dog parade. 🐶
Travelling with pets can easily be done with just a few considerations before packing up the car and crate:
Keep their Diet Consistent
Your pet's stomach is not as adventurous as ours. Bring their regular dog food and snacks.
Pack the Basics
Don't forget the leash, collar, harness, crate, water bowls, bed, poo bags, and favorite toys.
Let them be Adventurous
Check out some of the doggy day care facilities on the island or in nearby Sneads Ferry if you plan to spend the day somewhere they can't go. It's a good idea to pick your spot ahead of time and bring any required proof of vaccinations.
Know the Local Rules
NTB requires pets to be on a leash shorter than 25 feet and if they poo, pick it up!
